Challenge

Situated centrally between New York City and Philadelphia, this mid-sized private university provides a unique blend of advantages: affordability, a low faculty-to-student ratio, an Engaged Learning approach, and Division I sports teams, among others. Given the abundance of private colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region, prospective students frequently face a “paradox of choice.” To stand out amidst this crowded landscape, it was essential for the university to differentiate itself from the competition.

Objective

The university wanted to put all the benefits it offers to students front-and-center in a new ad campaign – but all those benefits are tough to get across in static ads. That’s what brought the advertiser’s agency of record, Princeton Partners, to Infillion.

Infillion’s TrueX engagement ads immerse users on desktop, mobile, and CTV in an interactive experience that can highlight multiple benefits of a brand, product, or service. Essentially, the university wanted prospective students to know how hard it works for its students.

Strategy

The campaign utilized Infillion’s Blueprints™ – turnkey creative tech that transforms a client’s existing creative assets into an interactive unit seamlessly – to highlight the many advantages of attending the private university.

The carousel ad format leveraged the school’s assets in an on-the-rails experience that walked the user through the reasons why they should apply.

The highlights included an application fee waiver for visiting the campus, 90+ majors and minors, scholarship and aid opportunities, and the university’s own investment guarantee for post-graduate employment and grad school. Each content piece encouraged users to take action with a different CTA based on what they were
most interested in.

Results

The CTV version of the ad, which featured QR codes, resulted in a .3% scan rate–impressive compared to industry benchmarks. Users spent an average of 51 seconds within the experience, well above the minimum guarantee of 30 seconds. The click-through rate to the advertiser’s site was 1.7% – almost 2x industry benchmarks.

In short, the ad got the prospective students exactly where the campaign wanted them…to learn more about the school.

Objective

Great Britain is a lot more than Big Ben, double-decker buses, and corgis. In fact, it’s a country with nightlife, breathtaking coastal views, and a rich, diverse culture from the energetic beaches of Liverpool to the chic dining and shopping of Manchester.

VisitBritain approached Infillion with the following KPIs: Awareness, Engagement, Consideration, and CTR. But more specifically, the aim was to understand and embrace the linguistic and cultural differences between various regions of Britain.

Strategy

This campaign took the form of an interactive experience that was deployed across streaming video on desktop, mobile, and connected TV. Users could omit subsequent commercial breaks by committing to at least 30 seconds of interaction with the VisitBritain experience.

They were delivered a slang phrase, the name of the region of origin, and a definition. From there, users needed to flex their vocal chords to try to imitate phrases from Newcastle to London and beyond. This necessitated the use of advanced, AI-powered Infillion technology to both hear and then grade the speaker on their pronunciation and dialect.

Results

In total, users spent 21,127,487 seconds interacting with the ad. That translates to 244 days spent faking British accents — and that’s more time than either Elton John or the Spice Girls has spent on top of the U.K. music charts.

Challenge

WHOOP is a fast-growing digital fitness company that helps users “unlock their potential” through its advanced performance coaching technology. But with New Year’s resolution season in full swing and media saturated with offers related to fitness and wellness, WHOOP needed to stand out from the pack by amplifying its unique ability to change lifestyle habits for the long term.

Objective

WHOOP’s array of features is seriously impressive, from analyzing all four stages of sleep to tracking 100+ daily habits and their impact on recovery and performance. The company needed to convey this functionality in an ad to users who might not be familiar with the product, without overwhelming them or distracting them from the campaign’s call-to-action: a one-month free trial.

Solution

Infillion worked with WHOOP to turn its creative assets into a TrueX interactive ad campaign, which ran alongside streaming video publishers on desktop and CTV.

While getting introduced to the product from a WHOOP video ad, users could dive into the features that WHOOP’s technology provides via TrueX’s content collection Blueprint unit.

Users were encouraged to explore how WHOOP helps them “Sleep Better” with sleep assessment and recommended bedtimes, “Feel Better” by tracking how different habits affect their sleep and athletic performance, and “Train Better” with its Strain Score that assesses the impact of different activities on their bodies. At all times, a clear call-to-action was visible to encourage users to sign up for a free trial of WHOOP’s membership.

Results

WHOOP is all about optimization, and so was this campaign. Several days after it launched, Infillion’s creative team suggested that the call-to-action for a free trial be made more prominent, placing it on the first frame of the ad and changing its color to WHOOP’s trademark neon green. This implementation was made seamlessly within the Infillion interactive ad container. And it worked: CTR then consistently increased week-over-week, ultimately resulting in an extraordinary 9.1% CTR for the entire campaign — over 9x the industry benchmark.

Infillion’s proprietary brand lift measurement, UpLift, saw impressive results across the board, including:
